London 2012: Singapore

With just nine days to go before the host of the 2012 Olympic Games is revealed, Steve will be joining his fellow ambassadors in Singapore on Sunday 3 July for the final presentations to the IOC.

In this crucial week, Steve will be in full support of the bid that has just over a week to convince the IOC that London has the edge over Paris, Madrid, New York and Moscow.

Amongst the delegation will be an impressive line-up of prominent sports people including Sir Bobby Charlton, David Beckham, Sir Matthew Pinsent, Denise Lewis and Daley Thomson. Members of all three political parties will also be lending their support for the London bid.

Lord Coe, arriving in Singapore today, will make his final presentation to the IOC committee before Jacques Rogge, President of the International Olympic Committee, announces the host city for the 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games on 6 July 2005.
