Sportsbite Launch:
Date: 12 September 2006
It's official. News from the world of Olympic sport is now more accessible than ever.
Yesterday Sir Steve hosted the official launch of Sportsbite at Coutts Bank in London. With Lord Coe as guest of honour, the day's events all went smoothly with many voicing both their support for the project and their desire to get involved.
"Sportsbite is rooted in common sense," commented Steve. "It started out as a desire to make it easy for people to find out what is going on in our Olympic sports between the Olympic years. There was no way of getting access to all the different sports in one place. Sportsbite fills that gap. We are really proud of the site and already have over 600 stories up. We are now looking forward to reporting on the progress of our athletes as we look to London 2012."
Apologies for the quality of the photography - it is not great. A problem with the camera not the amateur photographers in attendance - promise! (JA - Ed)
