  Sir Steve has recently been appointed 2012 Sports Legacy Champion. This role, centralised with the Department for Culture, Media & Sport will involve Sir Steve assisting with the drive to get more people playing sport, as a lasting legacy of London's Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012. www.culture.gov.uk/
• Ambassador for the Foreign & Commonwealth Office's campaign, 'See Britain through my Eyes':
  In October, Sir Steve took on a role with the Foreign and Commonwealth office as an ambassador to the Foreign Offices' campaign, 'See Britain through my Eyes'. Within this role, Sir Steve will help the Foreign Office promote the best of present day Britain around the world in the run up to the 2012 Olympics. www.fco.gov.uk/
